Kristi Petersen Schoonover loves a good ghost story. Skeletons in the Swimmin’ Hole: Tales from Haunted Disney World (Admit One Literary Theme Park Press, 2010), her collection of ghost stories set in Disney Parks, has been called “spooky alchemy at its finest” by Famous Monsters of Filmland‘s Peter Schwotzer; her Pushcart-nominated novel Bad Apple (Vagabondage Press Books, 2012) was noted “deeply disturbing in the best way possible” by SciFi Saturday Night. Her short fiction has appeared in The Adirondack Review, Barbaric Yawp, Sediments Literary-Arts Journal, New Pop Lit, Ink Stains, and others, including several anthologies. She holds an MFA from Goddard College and is the recipient of three Norman Mailer Writers Colony Winter Residencies. She co-hosts the horror film podcast Dark Discussions and volunteers at the Maritime Aquarium at Norwalk. She and her husband, Nathan, live in the Connecticut woods where she still sleeps with the lights on.
