The Garrison Players Art Center has been a staple venue in this area since 1953. However, due to the COVID-19 pandemic, they have had to cancel their entire winter/spring performance season, causing a financial hardship. Being big fans of GPAC, we have started a fundraising campaign on their behalf. All proceeds go to GPAC. Click on the DONATE button to support their continued contribution to the arts.

Jacquelyn Benson writes smart historical fantasy where strong women confront the stranger things that occupy the borders of our world. Her debut novel, The Smoke Hunter, was nominated for Best Historical Fiction by RT Times. When not writing, she enjoys the company of a tall, dark, and handsome English teacher and practices unintentional magic.

When the COVID-19 pandemic hit New Hampshire in March 2020, it became clear that April - National Poetry Month - would not be celebrated with live poetry readings and writers' workshops as in past years.

New Hampshire Poet Laureate Alexandria Peary invited New Hampshire residents to submit their work for consideration in an anthology of poems addressing the COVID-19 pandemic. More than 100 writers submitted their work - each with a unique voice and a fresh perspective on the pandemic's impact in New Hampshire.

In a remarkable range of poetic form and style, [those chosen to be included in the anthology] provide a thirty-day snapshot of what life was like in the Granite State in April of 2020. Click HERE to purchase a copy.

The danger of reading lies not in its ability to enliven or sedate the reader, but in its ability to change them. The more someone seeks to know, the more dangerous that person appears to those in authority, because knowledge is power, often in more ways than one. This is why we chose this name, logo and statement to represent our core beliefs. We hope you feel the same, and proudly wear our shirt.
