Melissa Crandall... Here.
A Pushcart Prize-nominated author (for “Dreams on Racks” and “The Cellar”), Melissa Crandall has been featured in such far-flung venues as Tricks and Treats: A Collection of Spooky Stories by Connecticut Authors and The Journal of the American Geriatrics Society. Her novella, “Thicker Than Water,” appears in the newly-released Three on a Match, Volume 2 of “The Terror Project.”
Crandall’s work spans both fiction (speculative and horror mostly, with a smattering of science fiction thrown in) and nonfiction (blended family angst, her mother’s journey through Alzheimer’s, and animal-related efforts). Her most recent book, The Man Who Loved Elephants, looks behind the scenes at the 30-year career of Roger Henneous, former keeper to what was once North America’s largest herd of breeding elephants. This project is currently being offered to publishers, but you can catch a glimpse of it at www.themanwholovedelephants.wordpress.com.
A native Upstate New Yorker, Crandall currently resides in Connecticut.
